November 2020 Community Day Thoughts

As of press time, we do not know what the November Community Day Pokemom will be. I tend to believe that we the community will be told what this month’s feature Pokemon will be. I humbly submit some of my choices if it was up to me.

Wailmer (or Swablu): 2020 has been a crazy year. Let’s end it right (assuming that December is the traditional year in review) with the biggest grind of an evolution. Besides, we all know I am a big time Wailmer fan. Let’s give the Whale its due! Swablu is also the same idea… so why not.

Regionals Day: Simple idea, really… just let the Regional Pokemon be seen everywhere but their normal “home region” for a day. We have seen some Regionals cross borders in the past… just make it 100% them for one day only. This would be a nice touch, considering travel has pretty much ground to a halt.

Grimer (or Sandshrew): I would definitely want Grimer for this event if the Alolans get the tab that they were denied in the votes. Vulpix is not listed since it just had a spotlight with the recent Shiny unveiling. Don’t be a spotlight hog, Vulpix. In the prior votes, every other type had a chance: New Shiny (Porygon), Repeat Day (Charmander), Awesome New Move (Rhyperior), (Useless) Bug (Weedle: face it, until we were told about Megas, this was a useless bug. Mega Beedrill is probably the least useful of the Megas) Megas (Charmander [and Weedle]). Give an Alolan a chance, since we have broken every other Community Day tradition!

Gothita: If you just want one specific Pokemon in a more traditional setup, how about Gothita? I would imagine most players don’t have more than 1 or 2 complete Gothitelles, as Gothita remains an uncommon Pokemon, save the recent short stay as a Raid Boss. Gothita is also a new shiny, which would be a big draw.

Something else? Let me know…

  1. Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott would be traditional options. They just did fire with Charmander so no Tepig. Between the others, I vote Oshawott. Less common to find and less of a PITA to catch than Snivy.
