I will assume that many readers bought Kanto Tour Ticket and have the All-in-One #151 Challenge. I will assume of this subset of Trainers, most have not found (let alone caught) a lot of dragons. It seems to be more “right time right place” than anything (and for me, that is frustrating). I will also assume that many readers do not have the Platinum Dragon Badge. I will also assume that most Trainers have a Bronze Kalos (Gen VI) Badge at the time of publishing and would like to see ways to get it to Silver. (Side note: The most recent new as of press time is a Unova!). Also, by the time April rolls around, just about everyone should have the 30 days of catches in a row finished. With all this in mind, I have the perfect Community Day Pokemon for April.
Introducing Goomy. Goomy is #704 in your Pokedex, a Kalos creature. Goomy is a Dragon. Goomy double evolves, a traditional part of Community Day. Goomy has not been introduced, therefore there is no shiny (another traditional hallmark of CD). I think it would be neat to have a brand new Pokemon be Community Day. Goomy has the potential to be quite valuable if nothing else than being a single type dragon. It protects Axew (the only other single dragon type that double evolves and maintains single dragon type through both evolutions) from becoming a less desirable Pokemon since it is currently ultra rare. Besides, it’s cute from what I have seen.
With this coming to press on March 21st and information coming out about the next part of the quest (a great change from 151 unique Pokestop spins to just 151 spins) already out, it’s about time to get Dragons into the spotlight so we can move on in the quest. Yes, I enjoy the long game and these untimed Quests being something that can’t be finished immediately. I am on Day 23, so next Sunday I will have 30 days of catches in a row done. However, not being 1/3 done with one type (9/30 with 3 of them being 7 day Daily Research in a row and at least 1 of them being a Daily Research reward… so no more than 5 being wild in 23 days… and I got one last night. So about 2 a week) and being done with all but one (27/30 fighting, so a bit more than 1 per day on average). Also, it is a bit late for the April CD announcement (at least IMHO). Let us plan out for April. Goomy for April CD.
