Apparently, there is an upper limit of 200 friends that a Trainer can have. I must have misunderstood someone who stated that they have 500, since that is what I understood the limit to be. I can understand that for many players, this is not necessarily an issue. It has been for me, especially in the Remote Raid era.
J have found some resources on the app store that allow for trainers to find like minded trainers to participate in various tier raids. The overwhelming majority of the invites I get are for T5 raids (whatever the boss is). The remaining (estimated) 10% or so is usually Timburr (a few people I know like Timburr a lot) and the occasional Mega Raid (especially when they are new)getting T3 and Mega raids are difficult. I cam understand this as Remote Passes can get expensive quickly. Most people want to use their Remote Raid Passes on T5s to get the most for their pass. It seems like the megas have also
I am somewhat low on the mega candies (even though I don’t use them often, I want to eventually evolve them all.). I also wanted a better Snorlax (and I did get a 13/15/15 from a raid in Italy) and some extra Golett candy without walking it (and I have succeeded there too). At least I now have found some like minded people and gotten some 7k eggs from other places around the world and have provided gifts from my area to some people who might not know my home state otherwise. I have also hosted a couple of T3 raids I would have done alone in the past, but it’s more fun with others.
I am also lucky to have met and know fellow trainers from many sources. Some I know from various other hobbies. Some I know via Facebook and probably other games I played in the past on Facebook. Some I have met while at various local raids and sites. Some I met during the old Ex-Raids (which I hope come back after the cooties are finally defeated). Some I met after Wednesday Night Raids. Some I met calling for help on various local (but not to me) raids. Some I have found in these world raids. I like being able to give and get with as many people as possible. That and I would like to participate in more lower tier raids without worry of having too many friends. Raise the number of friends one can have…
